THE MOST HOLY TRINITY!!!

The only Feast in honor of The Most Blessed Trinity takes place the Sunday after Pentecost Sunday, each year, so, it is a “movable Feast”.

Each Sunday, we honor The Most Holy Trinity, because it is “The Lord’s Day”, which, of course, refers to The Triune God.  Each Sunday, we also honor Jesus Christ’s Resurrection over Death, since He rose from the dead on Sunday, which is why The Lord’s Day was transferred from Saturday, the last day of the week, to Sunday, the first day of the week.  We know this, because it says in the “Acts of the Apostles: “[7] And on the first day of the week, when we were assembled to break bread, Paul discoursed with them, being to depart on the morrow: and he continued his speech until midnight. (Acts Of Apostles, Ch. 20: Verse 7)  (take from:  drbo.org)

Why should we celebrateThe Feast of The Most Holy Trinity?  Because when we do, we celebrate The One, True, Triune God, The Uncreated Creator, The Only One, Who has to exist for anything else to exist,…

Since our minds are finite, not Infinite as God’s Mind Is, we cannot completely understand The Most Holy Trinity.  But, The Lord does want us to know some things about Him.

Very basically, The Most Holy Trinity Is A God-Community: Three Separate, Distinct Persons, in One GOD.  God The Father, Is Known as The Creator, although Each of The Three Persons can create anything out of nothing.  He Is The First Person of The Most Holy Trinity.

God The Son Is BEGOTTEN from God The Father, NOT created by Him, He Is of The Same Nature as The Father:  Divine/Godly.  God The Son Is The Knowledge that God has of Himself, He Is God The Word.  He also took the form of a human being, thus becoming The God-Man, Jesus Christ, our Savior, Redeemer, King.

God The Spirit/The Holy Ghost Is The Love/Charity of God The Father for The Son and of The Son for The Father.  He is The Sanctifier, The Author of all Good, The Paraclete, The Spirit, Who fillest the universe,…

Wherever One Person of The Most Holy Trinity goes, All Three go, even if we are concentrating on One of The God-Community.  How could Jesus say from The Cross, “ ‘My God, My God, why hath Thou forsaken Me?” when He and The Father hadst always, for all eternity, been One, Together with The Holy Ghost?  Jesus hast a Divine Mind and a Human Mind, a Divine Nature and a Human Nature, so He wast speaking about The Father/His Divine Nature having seemingly deserted His Human Nature — He was receiving no Divine Consolations for the incredible, seemingly neverending tortures, which His Most Sacred Heart, Soul, Mind, and Body were undergoing — His Divine Nature kept Him Alive through these tortures.  Our Lord gives Divine Consolations to those, who are tortured to death/martyred for The Catholic Faith, so that they can continue to keep The Faith until the very end, even when they are being literally cut to pieces, or eaten by lions, or frozen to death, starved, etc.  Also, often in the Gospels, our Lord will say something, and He is referring to His Human Nature rather than His Divine Nature, such as when He said that only The Father knows when the world would end.  (See St. Matthew, 24:36.)  His Human Mind did not know, but His Divine Mind, of course, didst and dost know.

This is a very simplistic way of explaining things, which are difficult, if not impossible, to explain., but, hopefully, we have  not failed to shed a little light on The Mystery of The Most Blessed Trinity.

When all else fails, read the great genius, St. Thomas Aquinas’ “Summa Theologica” to find out more information: http://www.sacred-texts.com/chr/aquinas/summa/ or the “Catholic Catechism” by Fr. John A. Hardon, S.J., etc.
